Vegan food so so so so delcious!!!!! They are fast and make such delicious food. So glad i found this niche. 🌟

It's friendly and the foods great. A lot of local regulars. Relaxing place to have lunch. Need a little more parking space but all in all, its a great atmosphere.

Typical dive bar, but the service has always been excellent. Remember to tip your bartender. The restaurant, which is run separately from the bar, has never disappointed me. They serve large portions at a decent price, friendly service, and an accurate 1-10 scale for spiciness on all "hot" or "curry" dishes. I have a difficult time finding food that matches my tastes, and they've managed to match my appetite for capsaicin every time.

Low-key locals bar. Great service. Great source of local lore. My husband says it's the cleanest bar bathroom he had ever seen.

My food was cold at some parts and then burning my mouth and others so is most obviously a microwaved. The asparagus seemed like it was canned was so mushy. Just all-in-all not my favorites Chinese.

Good food. Bar side is great. Video poker till lottery close @2am.

Excellent food, great service, very friendly staff!

The food was fine. Except for the pork fried rice reminded me of the kind you get at safeway, which I don't care for.The reason I have 2 stars is because there was 2 tables other than the one I was at and I had to ask for my soda 2 times before I received it. Also the spoon I received with my soup had a glob of old soup dried on it and some of the dishes had huge chips.

Good but not great. Ample portions and good service. Pricing a bit on the high side and no wow factor in the food. Nothing here to bring us back for more. Ate here a couple of years ago and that was a much better experience.

Our servers tonight were Nina and her mother Qing...absolutely some of the very best service we have had in Baker City!! I have recommended the China Restaurant to two different people already and we just left less than 30 minutes ago. I am a Chinese food fanatic, and this is the VERY BEST Chinese food I have had, ever!! I will continue to recommend the China Restaurant!! Nina and Qing are absolutely wonderful! Very friendly, our leftover food was put into boxes for us. Prices are very reasonable as there is a lot of food for each order. I would give them 8 Stars if it was a choice!! We thank China Restaurant for a great dinner experience and wonderful food! We thank Nina and Qing for treating us like family!!

Doesn't look like much on the outside, but it's a gem on the inside...The bartender Katie is a gem.she makes youFeel welcome, so funny...great service.Came in Friday just to drink and decided to come back to watch Oregon game Saturday. She was ready for us when we came in.Had lunch then to dinner to go.Great service..we'll be back when we come back to Baker and I hope Katie is still there.

Restaurant is fair but overpriced, service I felt was not child friendly. The "sunset lounge has a very gross vibe, imediately uncomfortable every time I've been there.

Wow! Right out of the movies horrible!!! Don't waste a single penny of your hard earned money there and don't feel sorry for the locals who then call the cops on the ONLY sober person in the whole place. What a lesson learned! NEVER Going back, not to help anyone! You're on your own. Good luck in this town that supports local drug addicts and those using the system. I'm not one of YOU! Thank God!!!

I love this place to take my family. Food an people are very nice.

Absolutely fantastic service! Staff asked my husband how spicy he wanted his general tso's.... must Chinese restaurants don't bother to ask. Staff then asked if he wanted ghost peppers or just the Chinese peppers. They truly want patrons to enjoy the meal. The place was clean and comfortable. No frills but none necessary. This seems like a local spot... not the typical tourist trap. Nicely done

I give them an "A" for the remodel... It isn't dark and dungeony anymore-------my first time here since the remodel, I thought the food wasn't as good as years in the past.....but I was wrong...... second time back and my dinner was very good.I'm glad I did it again.....it was a very nice dining experience.

Rising sun is almost always a cool experience.pool tables,poker machines,a huge dancefloor,a rockin' sound system,and some of friendliest servers in town!

So much better than it was before Ray & Ling took over in August. Phenomenal cuisine and service. The place is so much cleaner too. I've known Ray when he had a restaurant in Waldport. The kitchen is spotless and the food always delicious. Prices are very fair and portions are good.

I was fortunate enough to wander in here with a friend. It was the second to final night for the charming and talented chef. They will be fortunate to find an equal replacement. The food was excellent!

Food was not good . Egg rolls are tiny and from the freezer I’m sure. We ordered two “family” dinners and it hardly fed two adults and two kids. Beef was chewy and disgusting. Don’t waste your money.

All I have to say is one 12oz can of soda $2 no refills no joke

With change of management these are now two separate entities. The Sunset Lounge is a bar that serves frozen pizza and burritos. Around the side is China Restaurant managed by a Chinese couple who provide friendly, excellent service. I had Kung Pao Chicken and enjoyed it very much.

Very delicious food with large portions. The lady that waited on us was very sweet. Food was out very quickly.

The food and the service here are both wonderful. I haven’t been to the bar side in a few years, but the restaurant is great.

We were just passing through and stumbled upon this place. Hand down some of the best Chinese food I have eaten. The service was exceptional, the staff friendly , and the food was fresh and delicious!My only regret is we are moving 2000 miles away and can't come back!

Disappointed in the new Chef. The food was way too salty, not just a little too salty, a lot too salty. My husband and I paid $40 for a meal we couldn't eat. When I told the waiter, all he offered was extra fortune cookies, no partial refund, no coupons if we would come back and try it again in the future, nothing. He didn't even offer to inform the chef about the issue until I asked him too. How can they improve if the chef has no idea?We will probably give it some time and try it again in a few months to see if they tone down the salt. Hopefully, they will. It was so good before.
